Does anyone know how much the membership fee is?

I heard the social life revolves around this club amongst expats.... Is it worth joining when we move to Dubai? We are a family with 2 kids.

What other "clubs" are there for expats to join the integrate into the life?

m'fraid the whole country club scene is very "colonial"
g&t's, tennis (when it's not to hot) or maybe even the polo club....

you'll either end up an alcoholic, broke, divorced ... or all of the above

there are more than one clubs here as well, lots of hotels and resorts have their own clubs...

i would suggest that you wait at least a few months and look around first before allowing them to extort the membership fee from you. i'll try and get the fees for the dcc for you during the day.

Don't know anyone that's a member of the country club.

Might be better to check out some of the hotel facilities once you get here and join one of those as they have activities and facilities for families.

So how much is the membership?
