I am a US citizen just got an offer in Dubai. I have a question regarding medical insurance. My company will provide medical/dental/vision for a monthly premium of $565.00 (approx 21,000 AED) for the whole family. Is it worth it to sign up for this insurance? I know in the US we can't even think about going without health insurance especially with the kids. But how about Dubai? Is it possible to pay cash for occasional doctor's/dentist's visit? If so, how much does a typical visit cost?

i think you got your conversion off its more closer to 2,100 AED and not 21,000 AED.
