I have a chance of a job offering

130000 Dhs
45000 Dhs (Accomodation)
+ Car.
I work in analytical/environmental sciences is this a reasonable offer?

From the other postings I have seen the accomodation allowance seems a little on the low side, I was told I could get a 1 bdr appartment for this amount.

no thats just about enough to get an efficiency (aka studio) for that amount i think most 1 bedrooms are around the 60,000 - 75,000 range

Depends where your work is located and where your employer expects you to live.

Your accomodation allowance suggests to me you'd be sharing, that is , say, if you get a group of three together you could find a nice three bedroom villa in a great area like Umm Sequiem, Jumeirah which is close to the beach for around the 100K mark. If you look at the thread on the cost of living you should be able to work out your everyday costs plus take into account DEWA bills (electricity and water). My main concern would be medical-find out if you are covered and what for!!
