A few questions re Apartment / Accommodation in Dubai... Nov 03, 2006
Hello.
I am considering an offer to relocate to Dubai and would appreciate if you can provide me with advice on accommodation. Basically I am budgeting around AED100K to 140K pa for a 2 or 3 bedroom apartment, specifically I would like to know:
a. which are the preferred expat residential areas?
b. would I be able to get a nice furnished apartment with my budget?
c. can I afford hotel serviced apartments?
d. any recommendations on apartments?
e. do the leases normally include car parks?
I am still single and so prefer somewhere convenient and slightly fancy if I can afford it.
Thank you in advance for your advice.

There are lots of possibilities. I suggest you check out the stickies above ^^^ and a few of the threads below. There is also a separate forum titled "accomodations" look there. Just curious: if single, why do you need 2 or 3 bedroom apt?

Thanks Concord.
I had a search in the other forums but can't quite get a handle on where are some of the preferred residential locations. Also I was hoping to get an on-the-ground view from those of you living there. Appreciate any further comments or advice.
Re number of bedrooms, I guess all I need is 2 bedrooms as I expect visits from families and friends, but if my budget persists then I don't mind an extra bedroom. But a 2 bedroom would definitely be sufficient.
Thanks heaps

It's real difficult to give you a preferred location to live, after all it would depend on what you like.
Downtown living
Country Living
Near the Beach etc.
How far you are willing to travel to get to work etc.
Your budget so far looks OK for most locations.

The office is in Emirates Tower so prefer some place not too far from there. I have been to and quite like the Marina area, just wondering if there are other locations similar to that.

So would I be able to get something decent in Marina preferrably furnished?

Thanks
