FDA Export certification
Certifications issued by the FDA such as certificate to Foreign Government, Non-clinical Research Use Only, and certificate of Ex-portability will no longer be notarized by the FDA, rather it will be authenticated by the US Department of State in Washington DC.
Newly issued regulation by the FDA
The FDA, Food and Drug Administration, has recently issued new regulations regarding the notarization of the FDA export documents. Export certificates will continue to be issued from the FDA but, starting from March this year, they will be certified from the US Department of State in Washington DC. The FDA issues export certification to permit the exportation of medical products such as biologic, medical devices, animal and human drugs. The FDA certification states that this product is manufactured in accordance to the FD & C Act and is eligible to be exported to foreign countries. Every type of the FDA export certifications is used to describe certain criteria to be applied to any product. We can briefly explain the meaning of each certificate as follow:
• Non-clinical Research Human Use only
A document required to export material, components, and medical products that are used for Non-clinical researches. This type of documents is issued for products that meet the regulation of Good Manufacturing Practice by FDA.
• Certificate of Ex-portability
A document required to export human and animals drugs, human tissues, medical devices, and biologics to foreign country. It is issued for products that cannot be legally distributed in the United States but manufactured according to the FDA Manufacturing regulations.
• Certificate to Foreign Government
A document required for the exportation of medical product that are legally distributed in the United States and authorized to be exported to foreign countries.
