dubai visa

I am working in a school and just want to ask if I can ask a favor from my employer or do I have the right to ask them that instead of giving me a air tick back to my country can they liquidate the amount of my air ticket. I will be finished on November 26, 2014. I have been working in a school for 2 years this coming November.
