How to make collect call from UAE to USA

From Etisalat (du landlines do NOT support collect calling function at all):
1. dial AT&T USADirect at 0-800-121
2. wait for AT&T to pick up and go through menus, then dial 0 (zero) for live operator assistance
May need to do this more than once to get all the way through.
On Etisalat mobile, cost me about 1 dhiram total (for the initial connection to AT&T, I guess).
