I think (not sure) his name is Dawood?
I found a flyer on my car last year and put some where really safe (so safe I can't find it)
If any one can help, and how good is he have heard alot about him..

Hello nabs,

Yes I have his Number it's (PLEASE SEND PM DO NOT POST PERSONAL PHONE NUMBERS S &O) and his name is Dawood.

He was taking me out for lessons and he really is very good. I had a UK licence for ten years and did not want to drive here as they are totaly 'crazy' and so aggressive, a friend of mine told me about how good he was. At first I thought as you do, yeahhh, yeahhh, so I tried him out.

Well he's better than what I was told, he taught me how to drive deffensivly and keep out of trouble, what the dangers were and where to expect them and most importantly how to deal with them safely.
All my friends have taken lessons with him. Some tried the big schools and told me they felt terrified as the instructors allowed them to get into dangerous sittuations, this never happened to me.

If you have not already check out the 7days report on driving schools that should open up your's and every one eyes to what goes on here.

Give him a call you won't regret it, anyone else needing to drive check him out

HIGHLY RECCOMENDED/'

I really cant understand what you are cribbing about!!!! If you are so scared of the traffic or the people why drive. Take a cab????

For heavens sake, driving in the UK is also not all hunky dory if I may add!!!

So please stop cribbing,,if you dont like driving or other people driving here 3 options 1. Best - take a cab...2. drive from the 3rd 4th lane....3. Go back to UK and drive.....

My apologies in advance

devildiciple,
You are the most complete Tw@ that I have ever come across, And it's stupid people like you that cause the problems here in Dubai, you seem to want to take everyones fun away so you can be left to have yours.
Why don't you do US all a favour. YOU LEAVE DUBAI, or catch a cab as it would seem you know as much as the driving instructors here.

DUMB, DUMB DUMB
I actualy thought forums like this weeded out the morans. but you got through,

Dear Clairej, I would not like to get into a discussion with you. Just to clear things Dubai is not UK nor is it any other place...IT IS DUBAI.....I accept the driving conditions here without complaining...Suggest you do the same.....

I dont drive in the fast lane at 120KMPH saying " BUT I AM IN THE SPEED LIMIT" why is the guy behind flashing.....

Any ways the coppers are doing the best they can....So until it improves like you say why not avoid the roads and save us speed demons from flashing and undertaking you....P.S undertaking is overtaking from the right when you dont give way!!!

Cheers and have a nice day

Hi everyone,

Haven't you all been having fun!!

To Ian and Devilsdiciple, nah your not worth the space it would take up.

Hi claire, you are absolutley right about Dawood he is great teaching people to drive plus really calm, He explains so well, and adapts too you and doesn't try too rush you into doing things.
Without doubt from the horror stories out there about the local instructors he is by far the best in Dubai.

I'm sure the two 'Shemales' ian& devilsdiciple will probable be thinking another bl##dy woman on the road, speaks volumes for the loners. But have you noticed how many of the accidents here are caused by the (ha ha our superiors) the men, must be all that test (tosser) own in those two hunks (in another life), ok I've pulled myself together.

If you want to be safe give the guy a call. Edited by Moderator

How the hell did this end up in a flame war?

First, Ian is correct - don't publish a person's private phone number on a public forum. If it is a business number, then fine. No one should be ripping his head off about that.

Second, the driving IS crazy here and everyone has the right to complain about it if they want. The accident and fatality statistics prove that driving here is more dangerous than in many other parts of the world. This is a FACT.

Third, everyone has the right to recommend a driving instructor outside of the Dubai/UAE driving school system. I've been through lessons with Emirates Driving Institute and they gave me good basics, but that was it. I'd hardly call the driving teaching and licensing system here in Dubai "high quality" or "professional".

Agree!!! Driving here is risky!!!But you have to agree that since Dubai is a Small densly populated place then the statistics are bound to be high!!!

I am not saying driving here is a piece of cake, but the authorities are trying their best!!!! :D

Agree to your 3rd point also.....

Peace !! :D

It's the nature of the recommendation that irks me.

Classical forum spam technique.

Person a (1 post) - hi I'm looking for a driving instructor... I heard about this guys, he's really good.

Person b (1 post) - hi, ring this guy xxxxxx he's great.

Actually, this person posted in another thread on driving and then sensibly posted looking for the information in a new thread to make sure someone saw it and could give the advice. If we are always too suspicious of everyone looking for advice here, we will just alienate all the newbies.

Some newbies we want to alienate.

But no... it's just forum spam, it's way to obvious.

If you do not mind me giving you some facts as my best friends father works for the RTA....

every 4 months there are close to 110.000 tests taken and of that 80% fail, and 20% pass I was strongly advised by many not to go near the Major driving schools?
All students are taught to pass by instructors who know less than the learners... don't belive me ask them some simple questions, they won't know.... If you want to put your life in their hands then that's up to you..Personaly I wouldn't and haven't that was my choice.
I would have got the telephone number from him and saved all the hassle.. but he is on indefinate compassion leave...

I was only trying to find the person I felt I would be safe with... if your intelligance has been insulted I will apologise for that...
But look at the statistics do you really want your friends dead because they have only been taught to pass(naah if that happened you would not have anyone to annoy?)

Try and help people rather than put them down all the time

The point of the whole huss is split into 2, first SPAM, when you have posted 500 times maybe people will realise that you may not have been spamming.
The second is posting telephone numbers, if someone wants a number it can be sent by PM rather than posting it for all to see.
