I lived in Dubai 5 years ago with my husband and two children. He passed away. How do I find out if my children and I are being held responsible for outstanding debt? Both Citibank and HSBC refuse to give me anything in writing although they say that we will not be responsible. There was insurance to cover HSBC but it was not ever confirmed that the accounts were settled. I just want confirmation that we can travel to Dubai or through the airport and not get arrested for something.
