Hi,

Sadly, I am color blinded. I failed to get the numbers correct on the Ishihara test, but I am 6/6. Just because of this its not possible for me to get my eye test certificate so is my driving license.

The funny thing is I can clearly distinguish between Red/Green/Yellow. I can read all sign boards, I have no idea what to do, i work in service industry and I am worried that this particular thing would ruin my career.

I want to know whether RTA is strict on NOT giving driving license to colour blinded people?

If you really can distinguish between red and green then you are ok? a friend of mine is a color blind, he can distinguish between red and green but he gets lost between red and brown.. but he has a driving license but he is not in the UAE but I believe that driving rules are the same all over the world?
