another visa question Oct 27, 2006
If I am sponsored on a work visa, would my husband automatically be eligible for a work visa or would he need to get a visitors visa, look for work etc. Ideally he would accompany when I arrive?

Thanks

I believe your husband would need to get a seperate visa for working, you can sponsor your husband for a residence visa only, providing your salary is I think over Dhs. 4,000.00 per month.

Canadian Passport holder will get 2 months visa at the airport upon entry so no problem.

You may wish to check this I read from one of Concs posts that it has recently been changed back to 30 days, but very easy to renew just drive/fly out of the country and back in.

To answer the quesiton in the simplest terms, her husband can enter the country on a visitors visa for 30 or 60 days which ever it is.

She cannot be her husbands sponsor for a residence visa unless she comes under a certain profession as has already been stated, and he would have to find a job and get his own residence visa through his work sponsor.
