I HAVE AT LEAST AN IDEA ON THIS MATTER.
I WORKED FOR A COMPANY FOR 15MONTHS. I DID RESIGN AND GOT MY LABOUR BAN FOR 6 YRS AUTOMATICALLY....SURPRISINGLY WHEN I HAD MY PAPER, IT WAS 1 YEAR BAN. MEANING, THE MINISTRY OF LABOUR HAD PUT AUTMATIC 6-MONTH BAN WHILE MY COMPANY GAVE ME ANOTHER 6 MONTH THAT MADE IT 1 YEAR.
ANYHOW, I WAS BACK ON A VISIT VISA AFTER 4 WEEKS OF STAY IN MY COUNTRY OF ORIGIN. THE REASON FOR THIS IS THAT---FOR AS LONG AS YOU HAD NO IMMIGRATION BAN, THEN YOU CAN STILL COME BACK ON A VISIT VISA. TWO WEEKS LATER, I GOT A JOB IN A FREE ZONE AREA. ALAS! MY 1 YR BAN WAS LIFTED!
IN YOUR CASE, SINCE YOUR COMPANY IS THE ONE TERMINATING THE CONTRACT, THEN I BELIEVE THE LEAST YOU CAN HAVE IS A 6-MONTH BAN OR NOTHING AT ALL SINCE IT'S DUE TO FINANCIAL INSOLVENCY. IT'S NOT YOUR CHOICE AND IT'S NOT ABOUT YOUR PERFORMANCE AS AN EMPLOYEE. THAT'S WHY IN THIS COUNTRY, EMPLOYERS PREFER THEIR PEOPLE TO BE RESIGNING RATHER THAN TERMINATING THEM. ANOTHER ISSUE IS THE GRATUITY THAT THEY HAVE TO PAY TO THEM.
