Congratulations Filipinos!
The pugilist Filipino sent the undefeated Mexican fighter (Jorge Solis) to the canvas twice during the WBC International Super Featherweight bout in Alomodome San Antonio, Texas (13 April 2007). Solis kissed the canvas twice.
"That brings us to an observation about what makes a champion. Greatness is not necessarily about eliminating bad days. Greatness is about narrowing the qualitative distance between one’s best and one’s worst. On his worst day, Manny Pacquiao looks only a bit slower and duller than he does on his best day. And that is why Manny Pacquiao will remain the world’s best fighter for at least a little while longer."
Pacman stops the opponent by knock out in round 8. Who will be his next contender? Is it Marco Barrera, Juan Manuel Marquez, Joan Guzman or Humberto Sotto? Let Freddie Roach (his sole american trainer) & Top Rank, Bob Arum think about it. For now, Congrats Manny!
