For all those parents still scrambling for school admissions for their children, here’s good news.
Dubai will get eight new schools which will open for the 2014-15 academic year.
According to the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), five schools will offer British curriculum, one will be Canadian, and two will be Indian.
The list of new schools for academic year 2014/15
Al Qouz 4 Indian K-12 3,000
Al Qusais Indian K-12 3,000 seats
Dubai Land UK K12 4,300 seats
Nad Al Shiba UK K12 1,700 seats
Mirdif Canadian K12 900 seats
Al Barsha UK K12 2,000 seats
Al Barsha UK K12 1,700 seats
Motor City UK K-12 4,100 seats
The two Indian schools are Credence High School and Bilva Indian School, which will both offer 3,000 seats each.
A staffer at Credence informed that the admission process is going on in full swing.
The fees will be between Dh15,000-Dh21,000 per academic year
Even Bilva Indian School will start with admissions from kindergarten to grade 6, and their fee structure will be Dh12,000-Dh19,000.
An official at the education regulatory board informed that the names of all schools will be released soon.
The other six schools will offer seats from kindergarten to grade 12.
The total physical capacity will stand at 20,700 students.
KHDA listed the area where the schools will be located.
Two schools will be in Al Barsha, one each in Al Qouz 4, Al Qusais, Dubailand, Nad Al Shiba, Mirdif and Motor City.
