Most, if not all, of us have been told by someone, some time or another, that we looked like somebody famous (or infamous), or that we looked like someone they personally knew!!

Esp. the girls!! They hear that a lot from men (an old pickup line)!

But seriously…have ever been told that you looked like a well-known person?????

I have…. Although I’m not sure I agree with them.

I’ve been told more than once that I looked like Tom Selleck, the B-rated American actor, due to my height and thick moustache.

Well…I might share the height and the moustache with Selleck, but I know I am not as dashing as he is!!!

I have also been told that I looked like Sam Elliot, another less known American actor. Again, due to my height and thick moustache, although I think I'm a little taller but not as slim as Elliot!

Now that I have exposed myself to the world….. let’s hear more confessions by other Duffers!!!

Well Tom! I have to say that Tom Selleck was always one of my favourites! I think it was the Hawaiian shirt that did it for me
As for me, there is a girl I work with tells me, on a regular basis ( ) that her husband ( ) tells her I am the spitting image of Amanda Redman. She is not an internationally known actress so before anyone googles her. I will post an image. I can't see it myself. I think i'm much better looking than her LOL!

All I remember is you overreacting to a post about "who is male or female" (or something like that) and someone thought you were a woman and you carried on about your "masculinity" in a rather nasty tone etc...someone can research that as part of this thread if they don't remember.

I thought your reaction was odd and uncalled for...

Now with this post I remembered a discussion (in the real world at a party) about the "mustache" and someone mentioned that it was a "gay man's mustache"....all I did was go to google image and typed "Gay man's mustache" and guess what? your mustache showed up...obviously you can make the same search at "google image"

Never said he was a handsome fella ! Just said I think he's bad @ss. Although if you see his interviews he's totally the opposite of what he plays on screen. As an actor I think he's got potential that has never been properly tapped. Machete was more of a joke and a tribute to 70's action flicks than anything else.

But yes call me shallow but gratuitous s3x, violence, explosions, car chases etc etc ARE my idea of entertainment

Who wants to see Hugh Grant fumbling in IMAX or Mattew McConaughey crying in full 1080p Hi Def on you 50" LCD. I rather see some explosions
