Wrong Numbers And Junk Texts

I've never lived somewhere before where I get so many wrong numbers. Its near daily. And I keep getting texts offering me property deals in the Norther Emirates. What's going on? Do people just randomly dial and have machines to send out random text marketing?

Etisalat sometimes give a number which someone else cancelled, but didn't bother telling it to the world that his number is cancelled. Happened to me too.
And the messages? Etisalat simply sells their phone list to the lowest bidder. And they admit it openly.
