Hmmm so an initiative from the Ministry of Health is encouraging people to give up the use of tobacco products on this day.

Step in the right direction I guess.

I gave up on 13/07/98 @ 17:30hrs in Abu Dhabi, haven't had a puff since.

Quitting smoking is not hard. I've done it three times this week.

What good is stopping smoking for one day…… and then going back to it the next day??????

Do reckon any smoker will stop for a day just because the MOH asked them to do so…. I doubt it!!!!

But it’s still a good message nonetheless…… even if only one person, Chocs, gives it up for one day!!!

Smokes are sooooo cheap here compared to Australia. Probably 1/5 the price of what I'd pay back home.

They keep raising the price there to deter smokers, and I think it's working. Think I will quit when I go home.

TJ, I think you miss the point. It's meant to be a starting point for people to give up, so that day is day number 1!

Stopping smoking would be the best gift you would give yourself. I don't see why people find smoking pleasurable anyway. Clothes, hair, mouth, skin stinks, cat bum mouth after a few years, crows feet around the eyes, yellow teeth... cancer, lung disease...

Smoking is harmful to everyone, no matter how much you smoke, what gender you are, whether you are single or married.

I'm trying to stop smoking

NiCe... but I just Couldn't live with out it!.... BUT.. people Stay away that's not Good for health yeah!.....

Right now, late at night with some beers in me... cigarettes are awesome.

Tomorrow morning, when I'm coughing my lungs up... cigarettes are terrible.
