Why is this only valid for women? I don't understand this move at all:

I hope this law changes, it doesn't make any sense. It is going back to the old rule again which was changed after the air crash.

Nucleus, It doesn't make any sense at all. Just more hard work and extra cost for people. Seriously with all the new rules coming in for renewing visas etc the UAE is starting to be put in the 'too hard to do' bin for many.

i think that will be better for everybody. now i can bring my wife by employment visa. otherwise, i respect uae law. i belive whatever they dicided. that will better for all

BlackburnRovers , I don't get that comment. How is it better to have to send your wife out the country, to then bring her back in on an employment visa, instead of doing a straight transfer?
