Well we couldn't really expect you to know what the 'red coat' signifies Zubber. FYI it is the uniform of the Colonel of the Irish Guards. A very famous British Regiment. William is actually a serving member of the RAF (Royal Air Force) but their uniform isn't half as spectacular as that of the Irish Guards, of which William is the honorary Colonel.

I prefer my garter to be black, but red is nice.

Right , Thanks guyz for the explanation, Never heard of that "order" or knew about the uniform, although I am certain some of these honors are reserved only for royalty and not for the commoners
