this morning?
Most of the service roads are floated, adding to the normal congestion heading towards Trade Centre. Main SZR itself looks pretty ok. Everyone must be caught up in the service road. Office parking lots are dead empty. Half of it is floated anyway!

Status quo on the traffic condition. Ditto on the parking lots.

It's going to be a boring day!

No umbrella and some heavy rains kept me indoors for almost 2 business hrs.. I was left with no choice but to sit at home n watch the rain.. till I saw a colleague passing by. called him up to come n pick me up. .Now at work it sure seems normal.. most of the ppl drive..its a bit like floating on the road than driving.

Man traffic is bad today, but atleast there is a VALID reason for the traffic issues this morning.

Status quo on the traffic situation from where I am sitting. But the parking lots are now fast taken up. Wonder if there will be police issuing tickets to parking offenders today - when there is even less parking spots. Now the usual sand spots are filled up with water

You think the police want to go out in this weather?
They can't.
They would melt.

Half a day has gone - traffic situation is still the same.

Not sure if there is a point coming to work in the office since:
- most people are still sick
- everywhere is flooded, including car park
- no one will go to meeting on time
- cant get anyone since everyone is stuck in traffic so nothing can be accomplished
- some villas are flooded so people will have to go home and move their furnitures
- bla bla

Dubai should embrace working from home until they fix the drainage situation! That way we can still work when Bush visits next time!

1/2 our office is out too, they should ban sharjah residents from working in Dubai

My assistant is a Sharjhan and the poor girl has had to ring me every morning telling me she will be late.

On the flip side I saw something humerous.

Bush... doing more for Dubai Traffic in one day, than Salik has done in 6 months.

I saw your car and I thought, those poor red stilettos .. or are you wearing red gumboots today?!

I innocently thought the rain will subside during the day. Am wearing open toe, joy going home later - if we can get out of here. The traffic in greens hasnt ease since 7.30 am !!

Probably need more than germ killer. You will need to saw off a layer of mud cast from your legs.

Good luck to those who doesnt drive. Cabbing should be fun today!

Pleasantly surprised I got home with no fuss.

Coming to work today is not too bad. I guess everyone learnt their lessons from yesterday. No point going to work early. Traffic was relatively smooth, parking is a breeze, I am starting to like this rain !

The only congestion is my nasal passage
