2 days, 2 stabbing crimes . Dont know what is going on...1 common theme though between the 2 crimes, on top of the fact that both were knife crimes....
On top of that I posted in the other thread how a person was beaten to death in a jail, with the killers getting the sentence of 1 year, yes 12 months, in jail.......
First case, how can the 2 employees be promoted after the guy they "restrained" stabbed a victim to death after chasing him ?
I am lost for words

Last Updated: December 20. 2009 1:09AM UAE / December 19. 2009 9:09PM GMT ABU DHABI // A man has been arrested after a fatal stabbing in the Court of First Instance last week. He is said to have confessed to the crime and is believed to have killed another man earlier the same day.
HM, an Egyptian, was in court on Tuesday over a financial dispute with the two victims, both Bangladeshis. After the hearing, he allegedly pulled out a knife and attacked one of the men inside the court.
The injured man fled but was pursued by HM and the attack continued in an adjoining car park. Several bystanders witnessed the incident.
Two court officials, Mohammed Mazrui and Mohammed Saad, intervened and restrained HM until police arrived, but the victim died at the hospital from his injuries.
Investigators believe HM had earlier on Tuesday stabbed and killed the other man involved in the dispute before coming to the court hearing. The dead man was found inside his labourers’ accommodation in Al Dhafra.
The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department said HM had confessed to one of the killings. He is in custody as the Abu Dhabi Public Prosecution compiles its case. If he is found guilty, he faces the death penalty.
The department said it would reward the two officials who tried to stop the attack. The men were also promoted for their bravery.
The court has no security scanners; the only one in Abu Dhabi with them is the Criminal Court in Abu Dhabi Island.

Dubai: An Egyptian man was fatally stabbed early on Friday morning, over a financial dispute with his friend, Dubai Police has confirmed.
Gulf News learnt the man was stabbed to death in a car by his friend, near the Mall of the Emirates. He later reported and confessed his crime to the police.
According to Brigadier Khalil Ebrahim Al Mansouri , Director, Criminal Investigation Department, Dubai Police, two Egyptian workers had a dispute over Dh3,000. The 30-year-old man who was killed recently planned to resign and leave the country.
He owed his 32-year-old friend and colleague Dh3,000, which he had previously lent him.
The two decided to resolve their dispute by heading to the police station after a heated argument. During their ride from Jebel Ali towards Dubai, the driver allegedly verbally assaulted his friend and was about to attack him with a knife. His friend, who sustained minor injuries, took the weapon and in return stabbed the driver twice in the chest.
He drove for a short distance close to Mall of the Emirates and then contacted the operation rooms saying there is a mechanical fault in the vehicle. When the police arrived he confessed to his crime and showed the police the body of his friend in the car.
The murder took place at around 12:45am on Friday, said Brigadier Al Mansouri
