Gee, X's reply was rather tame and then Arnie has to get down to basics. The fact is that snakes blood etc is consumed with sooooo much cognac in Vietnam it would be doubtful if after you could raise an eyebrow.

That was then I was 13 and it was meant to be an "experience"... rest assured it was WAY more than just an experience. To see them take this thing that looks like an ice cream scoop and dive right into the brains as this monkey is screaming its head off (no pun intended). But they don't kick etc - they are clamped down.

Hey, was that a Thai thing? First I heard about it was in Malaysia but most of the stories I usually hear originate from Thailand.
Pretty grosse nonetheless.

This particular instance was at the Monkey temple in Bali although I have heard of similar ones in the south of Thailand.
