What is J-PAL and what is its mission as an organisation?

Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) and Abdul Latif Jameel World Water and Food Security Lab (J-WAFS), were both founded by Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel. J-PAL follows a indepth research based attitude towards poverty elimination programs in many countries which has impacted millions of people world wide. J-WAFS on other hand has involved themselves in research which focussed on fighting food and water shortage.
