What are the banks doing to people that left Sep 23, 2009
Back in May I had a friend of mine leave, now that it seems that things are picking back up he wants to come back. He said he has some loans he didn't pay off before leaving. But wants to come back to work and settle everything. He is worried they might put him in jail. I told him no way.
I told him just to settle things with the bank and work work work.

Anyone else seen or heard of a different experience?

If he did a runner, he would have been listed as having absconded! He will be blacklisted and arrested at the airport on arrival!

You cannot run away from your debts in this country, the banks sell on the debt to debt collectors who will hunt you down and make you pay it back. I know people who have had travel bans put on them world wide because they ran away owing tonnes of money.

Come back and check. Then tell us after a few years staying here at expense of local government. You will be able to upgrade your education there as Kid had told us.
Another runners have enough brain to stay away from troubles.

Once your details have been submitted to the Police, it follows through to Dubai Immigration and you will be arrested on arrival if the details match.

Yup, that's the truth.

The Sinclair Z81 is hooked up via a Paradox database over a 14.4k modem hard wired to an outsourced data center in Chennai who in real (slow) time, after tiffin, but only on a Tuesday, parse the data from text into Excel and fax the printout to the Immigration department at the Airport, and when Khalid gets in, somewhere between 10:30 and 14:00 he hand writes the post it notes that get stuck on the desks of all the kerchunkers on the entry desks.

You know what i think all the people on this forum have also left and are in here to find out what is happening to those that have actually gone back. Considering I am not getting any REAL conclusions, this tells me that the people that went back "are not amongst us anymore" vanished, kapoof, disappeared. Because they have not given us any replies that would elude us to the aftermath.

^ Hey mayoush, I have a feeling that you are really your "friend".

Why don't you try going back to Dubai after absconding, and tell us about it.

I won't hold my breath... because I cannot hold it 10-20 years...
