Travellers Cheques In Dubai

Travellers Cheques in Dubai Feb 20, 2006
Anyone know what the deal is with them? Can they be cashed anywhere here or only in certain banks? Charge for cashing?

travellers cheques are hard work here...can only cash in some money exchanged...pain in the ass basically and yes there is a charge...do you need to use them? Most visa cards etc etc work here...i always tell my family not to bring travellers cheques cos too much trouble!

My advise is dont bother with CC's.

They can be changed anywhere no probs at all.

The main problem is you will get a much lower rate on exchange compared to Currency.
