So the world didn't end! May 22, 2011
I bet this mad Yank who spent his life savings on telling people the world was going to end on the 21st of May is feeling a right fool now!

When's the next supposed date? Isaac Newton reckoned 2060.

I think it's 2012 - something about the Mayan calendar. :)

As for this Christian prediction ...
Family Radio International’s message has been broadcast in 61 languages. He has said that his earlier apocalyptic prediction in 1994 didn’t come true because of a mathematical error.

“I’m not embarrassed about it. It was just the fact that it was premature,” he told The Associated Press last month. But this time, he said, “there is ... no possibility that it will not happen.”

There was an interview and he was asked that if the world didn't come to an end on the day he predicted it would, would he give an interview the following day? Haven't heard from him. :lol:

He's probably in shock - he didn't expect to still be on earth, after all!

I guess in a few more days he'll come up with an excuse ;) .

(But he should give back all the money people donated though.. see WP article above)

It did end! I'm posting from another dimension...maybe you just realize it. Perhaps the other-world is just same, same...

that is the cleanest squat thing I've ever seen...Haven't seen many in a while....but they are cheap!

Just thought they could not have made the "Trainspotting" scene on one of those!

Crap ! now I will have to do all my chores ! And why does doomday have to be on a day off, whats wrong with Monday ?

Heard a discussion on this topic over the car radio on CBC.
There is a long history of predicting the end of the world, apparently!
And people who make these predictions get disappointed when it does not happen! :lol:

To say the least...

These "predictors" are fools in more ways than one...If I was a predictor I would predict the end of the world at some date after my 100th birthday so that I will not be around for the ridicule...
