From a guy in Trip Advisor today:

'I was at the Hilton Jumeirah Beach (left yesterday) and watched the sunset every evening from the beach. Although you can't quite see the sun melt into the ocean, the size of the sun just before it hits that layer of "stuff" is absolutely amazing. My vote goes to 360 at the Jumeirah Beach hotel but just sitting on the beach at the Hilton was pretty darn nice.'

Probably a gay, according to this forum. See post below.

There are lots of free beaches around for the same view. The observation is correct, since the sun never seems to hit the ocean.

My friend and I would even rush to Jumeirah beach late in the afternoon from Satwa area just to catch a very nice view of the sunset
