i've seen a few cars with number plates which are half white and the other half red, with arabic letters. Anyone know what they represent?

also noticed a few cars with numberplates bearing colours of the uae flag. those plates look very fancy. are those ministry cars?

diplomatic cars may be... the other with UAE flag, I have seen some from other emirates such as RAK or Fujeirah with Arabic letters and a small UAE flag...

Emirate flag coloured plates are ministerial. 4 digit plates starting with 8 are police or ministry.

They are for senior military members; the writing in Arabic is "Armed Forces" or Quwwat Al Musallaha

Quwwat Al Musallaha are full red usually used as escorts and so are Army. Half red and white are govt.
