I was just listening to it live on BBC World Service, where they cut away from the speech to bring us... analysis of the speech... while he was still making it?!? Morons. Someone should be fired there.
Anyway, I missed the ending but I thought it was a very good reconciliatory speech aimed at undoing the damage of the Bush administration and laying a foundation for much better relations between the USA and Islamic countries around the world.
I liked how he didn't acknowledge the government of Egypt during the opening part but instead focussed on the University and Egypt's history instead. That's got to cut a little edge off the criticism he was getting for visiting Egypt given their current ruler's reputation.
