Just a reminder to those who have animals that the summer months in the UAE are very testing for our furry friends. Make sure they have plenty of water all the time, access to an ac'd area. Walk dogs early in the morning and late at night, remember dogs cool down through panting and losing heat through the pads on their paws, if it's too hot for you to stand barefoot on the pavement, it's too hot for dogs to walk on as well.

White haired animals with pink skin and noses are very susceptible to sunburn, so be careful.

If you see neighbours with dogs tied up outside all the time, usually it's down to lack of knowledge on how to care for the animal properly, a gentle word that being tied up outside in this heat is distressing for the dog, the need for walks, access to water and a cooled area often does the trick.

Does the heat make some pets hyper-active and start barking in German??!
(Resistance is futile. Lol. Lol. Lol. )

But seriously a timely reminder for those with pets in Dubai to be thoughtful.
