Over 97% of all email is ‘unwanted’ Apr 09, 2009
Microsoft says that more than 97% of all email is unwanted. I think this ratio should be more than 97%. :D . i found it here http://www.arabianbusiness.com/552097-o ... s-unwanted

would it be fair to extend the article to include forum posts? i.e. 97% of forum posts are unwanted? :-)

Is this really still a problem? I'm not a fan of Microsoft but Bill Gates predicted that spam would be fixed in 2006:

For the most part, it has been fixed. I realize a lot of people still get a considerable amount of spam but when the proper measures are taken, that number falls to well below 2004 levels. I'm not even talking about making the user install all manner of anti-spam software- ISPs themselves can reduce spam significantly.
