oook statistics are out ! May 31, 2009
in case you are wondering , this is the latest statistics from the labor office on expats academics degrees in UAE ..

- 85.8 high school diploma and less.
- 9.9 % higher than high school diploma.
- 4.3 not educated.

4,100,000 expats from 202 countries working in 260,000 private businesses. females are 224,000 ,males are 3,857,000.

And the point is what? We all know that the majority of expats are uneducated, unskilled and from certain countries.

well the point is as I wrote above is ( IF YOU ARE WONDRING ) so if you are not then it's useless but I thought as you always said this is DF and mainly for expats.

to me it's useful bcz I want to know how many rocket scientists we have in the UAE :)

the source is today Ettihad news paper ( arabic )

I'm the only real rocket scientist on DF :lol:

Soon perhaps number 50 in the UAE. I don't think there will be many more real rocket scientists ;)

in UAE there are loads of scientists. some very clever and intelligent ppl. i do know that abu dhabi is doing alot related to nanotechnology and have already estabilished unis which should bring in some more clever ppl.

Yes, yes I know. :wink:

But I was talking 'real' rocket engineers.
You know, using basic celestial mechanics for orbit computations, mission analyses and part design of launch vehicles (latter not in UAE yet)

Having said that, I'm not a scientist but a simple aerospace engineer. :lol:

if the scientists in UAE know everything about nanotechnology then rocket science will be piece of cake for them ;)
