Best Fish and Chips I have found (quality vs value) is the Philipino run place at Irish Village. Proper mushy peas and big fat chips perfectly cooked!
There used to be a great place on Sheikh Zayed Road just down from No.1 Tower Suites run by an old boy from Glasgow. They even did deep fried Mars bars! Gone now...sadly!
