Hi all,

I will be travelling to the UAE on a visit visa issued by my company on the 12th of July.

Someone kindly let me know how much cash can i carry (UAE DHIRAMS) & from where should i exchange it. Can i get an exchange at mumbai airport itself? What is the limit allowed.

I will be carrying 300$ privately hidden in my suitcase. can th eauthorities detect it through the x-ray.

hey man 300 $ is lot of money , u better put them in ur socks

what if Jeevan or St. inform to robbers ? So dont mention it over da net

HP 300$ will be gone in a jiffy u know that wont inform the robbers ,cant say the same about lucif

Exchanging here isn't hard at all. There are 3 frigging within a 1 minute walk from my place.

Wait till you get to dubai to exchange! No one will rob you even if you have the money in your hands. All the protection you need is "common sense".

I'm assuming the "$" means US Dollars.

How've u arranged yoa stay..? How much cash should u carry is for u to decide, I dont think there are any restrictions on it. Or you dont need to carry anything at all just use your intl debit, credit cards if u've them.but keeping some 500AED in change would be helpful till u locate the ATM. And like said u dont have to hide the USD, keep it in yoa wallet...
