I am an experienced houbara breeder just back from Uzbekistan, and i am hearing that many hunting parties from the Gulf feel that despite the large sums of money involved in maintaining hunting lands in Central Asia, houbara numbers are dropping very fast.
I want to open a Houbara recovery programme so that houbara populations can be replenished and hopefully recover after hunting. This can only be accomplished through small captive houbara breeding projects, established by falconers themselves. Houbara may not be around for long if something is not done now. Happy hunting!
