Hi everyone!

I do, as the title said, really need some help from my fellow foster parents.

Basically, i am a regular cat rescuer and fosterer. I am not officially with feline friends but i do use their vet and medical discounts and i have since coming to dubai rescued and rehomed over a dozen cats.

Here's where i need the help:
I am leaving dubai and ofcourse i will be taking the 3 cats that i brought with me plus one other cat that adopted me in dubai home . The problem is that in addition to my 4 cats i am fostering a family of cats. It's just not an option for me to take them all with me and if i did it would make it impossible for me to continue my foster work when i go home.

I have been trying to find them homes for 3 months now and i am still unable to. I've put signs up at vets, supermarkets, notice boards but i haven't had a single call. I'm used to getting calls from posters but it's summer and no one is calling This is the first time i've ever had to resort to forum posts to find homes.

I've tried feline friends but they can't take anymore till september.

I am really really desperate. I've tried practically all the other forums that are dubai related and have had no luck.

I am in absolute need of a miracle. I am prepared to post pone my departure date but i can only do so for a while.

Even if you can't offer them a permanent home, if you could just foster them until feline friends can take them on in september that would be an option.

They can be split into pairs.

I just want to clarify that these are not my pets, they are my foster cats. I am not dumping.

Please help out if you can.

KeithL - i'm still waiting for a call back from them. i left a message - no reply yet.

They used to answer the phones themselves but now that doesn't happen too often. I'll try again tomorrow.

I was hoping some of the foster care people would read this thread and offer some help. I'm still hoping that that will happen.

I just don't understand why so few people volunteer to be foster parents. Cat food and litter are cheap and vet expenses are covered by feline friends if anything happens. It seems like all the cats problems in dubai are being resolved by a very very very small number of people.

This city needs an SPCA!!!!! Even in a pokey old country like malaysia (where i come from) they have half a dozen SPCA's.

HP, go under your rock! If you have nothing to contibute then don't bother.

Sad to say that if I didn't have a dog I'd love to start fostring other cats and dogs, but the pooch will freak out.

Here's a thought, have you tried contacting the radio stations? Maybe they can put out a pleas for you, you never know.

I know someone that looks after abandoned Cheetas in dubai. Its sad that the government encourages traders who bring in cubs snatched from their mothers in africa.

I wish that I could foster but our cats are enough for our size of place. A few of us on this forum are already working on a rescue of some kittens at a construction site - if we can find them again! It would be nice to let those babies have a chance to find a good home.
