At last, some common sense! And particularly because the conflict took place in one of the most densely populated Asian heartlands in the UK. Is this the start of a different way of thinking, or just a flash in the pan, I wonder?

And headscarfs, skull caps, covering for seikhs, are all OK?? But display a cross and what, it's offensive? At least other religious representatives saw the folly in this, or were they protecting their own values in fear that their symbolic display of their religion/worship would be banned in public???
