Another example of the awesome justice system we have in the UAE

he confessed to drunken and reckless driving and claimed he was ignorant of the country's traffic rules

so will some slovak explain this to me ? Its okay to drive drunk there ? What is more angering is the retarded judge that commuted his sentence.

Please someone fix the UAE's justice system ? Now ?

I'm sure the legal eagles around here will confirm this, but I didn't think that ignorance is an adequate defence in the law (though perhaps it is in Dubai)??

I thought ignorance of law excuses no one but not in UAE! This is really strange! Maybe those who are running the justice system are ignorant with their own laws. LOL.

lucky him (cause his case went to that retarded judge)and smart lawyer but ignorance is not an excuse (at least from my point of view) and i highly doubt that he was not aware that he was not supposed to drive drunk

apart from the law that forbided him to do that: that schmuck could have hit sombody...i wonder if ignorance would have saved his a$$ than
