Anyway, you can discount Germany from winning the World Cup. I just read that their captain Michael Ballack has been fined 60,000 euros (Dhs283,277) for failing to declare a handbag he bought in Dubai at airport customs. The handbag - worth Dhs9,442 - was found in his luggage at Munich airport.

The great big wuss but I suppose he needed somewhere to keep his Eau de Creek perfume, lippy and eyeliner. Time was when these Germans were known for their great big fat sausages !
