this is true... to my knowledge, today for about 1 hour Etisalat blocked Facebook and I heard Dubizzle was affected too.

it seems someone pulled the plug by mistake

Maybe someone on Etisalat brought their kids at work :D:D

If you don't like it don't use it

FB and myspace are tricky, generally they are not blocked but etisalat has ways to block specific profiles. again, anything against dubai is not shown online. youtube as a whole is blocked. just too much controversy

facebook is not blocked for as far as I know but still anyway well in dubai we have the option of etisalat and Du internet connection
if u have Du than u will see that not one of the internet sites will be blocked

I think you will find Du is up to speed with Etisalat re: blocking sites.
As they say about these 2 providers, "same sh**, different wrapping"
