What do the Astronomers in DF have to say?


Anyone know when it will be? (I know some guy has to give the go ahead - but science being what it is in the 21st century someon ought to have a pretty good idea).


There is such a thing as "planning" - well, not in Dubai but..

people are guessing 19th or 20th, chances are we'll have 5 days off.

Have been told 18th here... but not holding my breath.

I heard that its on 21st friday, must be another easy ploy of our company to cut down on the holidays.. wtf!

Has that been announced??? I can't really tell my boss that Sage and Onion says Eid will be on these days.

Not announced, just what I believe, we all have to wait and see.

I've been told to book no meetings for the 19th and 20th..... so I guess that what my company is expecting

Eid Al Adha holiday will be three days for private sector

Dec 11, 2007 - 12:44 -

Abu Dhabi, Dec. 11, 2007(WAM)--Employees of private sector will get three days holiday for Eid Al Adha with effect from Arafat Waqfa day, the first and second day of Eid, according to a circular issued by Dr. Ali Abdullah Al Ka'abi, Minister of Labour.

The three days' holiday will be payable for the employees of private firms, who will work during Eid holiday.

3 days - starting on the Tuesday the 18 until Thurs 20.

18 / 19 / 20 announced and confirmed, makes up for the last Eid holiday. Was quite a surprise, but welcomed by all.
