I agree - but this is a 'joke explanation' for Americans, not a 'It's all the American's fault'. Mubarak is the bad guy in this (and that he was/is supported by the US is relevant).

I thought it was funny and serious (and above all, factual).

Yes, as are other world leaders who supported him, but they get barely a mention if at all.

That's the way world politics works - support the guy in power who will help you achieve your own goals. It is not a concept invented or used exclusively by the Americans.

It is up to the people to revolt and change their government, and that is what they are doing.

k - you seem to be critical that the explanations in the comic strip aren't comprehensive and show all the nuances of the situation. You're right. It is a comic strip. ;)

It does, however, state the reason why the US funds dictators. It doesn't say that other nations don't also support dictators too. I grant you that. I guess they left this bit out to not confuse the readers? ;)

I think it was trying to be political satire but as a comic it failed as comics are suppose to be funny, this clearly isn't.
