See Singapore's new Marina Bay Sands Hotel with its aerial Infinity 150 meters long borderless swimming pool, suspended in the air, 55 storeys above ground across 3 high rise towers

It looks like that Singapore is now becoming a serious competitor to Dubai.

Singapore‘s new Marina Bay Sands Hotel, which recently opened on July 22, 2010, is supposedly now the world‘s most expensive hotel.

Don't go off the VERY DEEP end of the aerial Infinity 150 meters long (3 times the length of an Olympic size pool), seemingly borderless swimming pool, which is suspended at a height of 55 storeys above ground across the 3 high rise towers of the hotel‘s Skypark, atop Singapore‘s amazing new £ 4 billion resort.

Not Bad, but having lived in the UAE and seeing so many mega projects come to life this doesn't seem so clever. The pool seems to be their only gimmick. There are many much better looking and designed towers here.

Every time I see this hotel it looks weird, but we'll likely pay to go to the top and check out the view from up there.

Kinda rough if you can't swim AND have a fear of heights!

Singapore is just trying to play a catch up game..Dubai borrowed the SG model and went a few steps further and perfected it (well atleast till 2008)..

so SG is just trying to wrest the initiative back

You have to admit the pool is incredible

Dubai in 2008 was perfect only for real estate agents, and those riding the real estate wave.

The only things in whch Dubai is better than Singapore is cheaper cars and dining options.

Also Singapore feels even more sterile than Dubai, and thats not a good thing.

Singapore is 200 times better than Dubai, come on!
