What is a wordpad document? I have one as an attachment on an email and I can't get it to download.

You just need to save the file, right click on it and select "Open with" and then "Wordpad". I think it should open then.

In the event if K's suggestion doesnt work, dl it and open with Microsoft Word

OK , if all else fails , your final option could be to
1. Forward the email containing the document to your gmail address.

2. Open google chrome , install this extension - https://clients2.google.com/service/upd ... .0.552.237 , Docs PDF/PowerPoint Viewer (by Google)

3. Then log into your gmail account , Now you will see a link called "View" , This will open the document in google docs.

If this also doenst work , Please download document , right click the file choose properties, then post the FULL NAME OF THE FILE INCLUDING those 3 letters after the " . " , And notice what it says after opens with. That is the program with which you can open the file

told hubby to have secretary take care of it. Besides I need it in document format so that I can work on it. PDF doesn't help me there.

When I click on it, it does a virus scan and the only choice is to download, and it just seem to be able to capture the process, probably because of the format of the document.

If you have gmail, you should be able to download it or there would be a view button next to the attachment and that should let you view it.

What is the extension on that .rtf ?
