poor guy, everything he smuggled out of here is under his wife name, he is not see coming but she will divorce him eventually to save face and will be left with nothing , not to mention that he won't be able to work with such a record not being cleared. it will be interesting to see how his CV would looks like

Hey Kid, everything is fine, and my wife says hello, I sued Dubai World September 9, in reaction they sued me, then I counter sued them. And I am sure you trust the US Federal Court, as I do , to sort out the claims from either side and decides who wins.
Anyways it Looks like Dubai World is going to have a lot more lawsuits for not paying back what they owe.
Today they lost in foreclosure a hotel in New York, $285M in the wind...thats a billion Dirhams kid.
My Book has been released November 10, my website is blocked in the UAE as you can imagine, in Dubai they call it freedom of speech, but the book is available at Amazon, Borders, Barne and Nobles. You would be amazed to know how many books I ship to Dubai.

Sage, you and I both know that your 'Dubai Bashers' definition doesn't hold up. At least Gertrude makes statements that have some origin in the daily runnings of reality. She's clearly had enough of the lies and deceptions of autocratic governments.

IF persons can't bounce payments (as referred to a bounced check) so then why can partially state-owned governments do that. We have a term for that: 'hypocritical'...

Now, due to my curiosity (and not with bashing intention, as Sage stipulates everyone with a bit of criticism) I also ordered the book from Herve.

Looking forward to his story and the court decisions in the future. Until that moment...I'm neutral

You should ask a few new writers if they ever became millionaire from a first book release. I can tell you that they didn't. And if they did, most of the time they didn't earn that million in 'the heat of the battle'.

Besides, the audience of Herve is rather small. UAE expats are a potential buying group, perhaps some adventurous reader groups, and some investors and entrepreneurs around the world. But he won't make millions of it unless it becomes a true mediahype.

Say Herve, its probably not a secret for you anyway, but perhaps you can enlight your critics about what a first time writer actually makes per unit sold?

I think he writes this book to make some things clear to the outside world, so you can judge for yourself...

You're right. The books don't make a huge amount of money compared to what follows.
You talk about media hype.
We'll there is no better time than the present.
Interviews with the Times and BBC World would be a start and next thing you know he'll be talking to Oprah, and then selling the movie rights.
It is a great story, who cares about the details, the guy who took on the world, Dubai World that is, the company that everyone loves to hate. Throw in a bit of anit-arab material, prostitues, human rights violations, womans lib, and sales will skyrocket.
Its just what the media have been waiting for.
