Dreaming & weird things happening in your sleep Apr 08, 2006
Just reading one of the other threads about dreams and got me thinking about the weird things that people dream about or do in their sleep.

Here are a few of mine:

When I was young my mother walked part my bedroom and apparently I was shouting that I was stuck in some sort of whole and couldn't get out - weeeiirrrddddooooo!

Had a friend who would quite frequently (in her sleep) go hunting around under the bed covers trying to find her head!

Had a boyfriend who used to howl when he was a sleep - man can I pick em - you could also have a full on conversation with him whilst he was completely asleep - good for getting secrets.

Had a dream I was eating a hamburger once, it was so realistic, when I woke up I could actually taste the burger - man I must have been hungry.

Hate those dreams where you're runnnig and running and just can't get away from the really big monster that's trying to eat you!

continue......

Dreams, or deja vu?

How many times have you encountered a situation where you are certain you have been there before or been in a place before, but you are sure you have seen it or experienced it in a dream?

Happened to me a few times now and felt a bit spooky!

yup deja vus have always fascinated me here is an attempt at a scientific explanation from wikipedia:

In recent years, déjà vu has been subjected to serious psychological and neurophysiological research. The most likely candidate for explanation, according to scientists in these fields, is that déjà vu is not an act of "precognition" or "prophecy" but is actually an anomaly of memory; it is the impression that an experience is "being recalled" which is false. This is substantiated to an extent by the fact that in most cases the sense of "recollection" at the time is strong, but any circumstances of the "previous" experience (when, where and how the earlier experience occurred) are quite uncertain. Likewise, as time passes, subjects can exhibit a strong recollection of having the "unsettling" experience of déjà vu itself, but little to no recollection of the specifics of the event(s) or circumstances they were "remembering" when they had the déjà vu experience, and in particular, this may result from an overlap between the neurological systems responsible for short-term memory (events which are perceived as being in the present) and those responsible for long-term memory (events which are perceived as being in the past). Neurophysiological specialist Stephanie Warn (based out of San Francisco) has dedicated research on the subject matter. Her current conclusion is that déjà vu is merely the brain pulsing at an exponential rate which causes a person to recall something he or she saw the moment before.

My explanation of Deja Vu...

According to relativity theory....When anything travels faster than the speed of light...it starts travelling forward in time frame....our brains as we all know operate with electrmagnetic signals which travels at the same speed as the speed of light....sometime it goes faster and the speed crosses the limit of 300000 KM/sec....at this moment our brain goes in future and sees the things which when we see in real life we feel we have seen before....and thats DeJavu.....

Well let me try to explain a ltl bit about dream.. my vocabs are ltl in this field.. so i will try my best..maybe some people would think that its non sense or something.. but Daaaan.. i hope it will be helpful mate :)

The subconscious mind is normally active when we lose the power of senses.. which are mainly.. vision and hearing. we dont have to be nesseccrly sleeping.. but at anytime where we get drifted away for some reason where you feel are are somewhere else.

although that u shouldnt be sleeping to feel all that.. but sometimes.. and just for example .. you might shout while you are recalling something happened.. or smile on somthing nice or funny .. you are not sleeping.. but your subconscious mind is somewhere else where you can hear feel and see things which happened in the past or something you might be dreaming of... like day dreams.

When a person is losing the power of directly controling his senses.. and let go of everything while sleeping... his subconscious mind get an access to his soul which has the power to experience something different.. the soul has the ability to travel since it has no physical existence.. so time, place, and people means nothing here when it comes to soul traveling.

There is something also called Out of the body experience which a mattar of study and analysis nowadays.. even in the militry science..

There is something also called Remote sensing science.. in the CIA and KGB normally there r speical divisions for this.

Back to the dreams.. why do we sometime dream strang bad dreams?

Well, think about the night which you had.. what state were you in before sleeping.. what was occupying your mind before sleep to the limit of obsession.. all that comes in your dream.

If the soul was mistreated normally with bad deads of that person .. bad dreams could happen.. during sleeping.. it goes back to the sky..to which part of the sky? depends on the kind of person you are.

When it comes to deja vu, well.. before the person becomes alive.. people's souls are located in a place. when a person ment to become alive where he/she is still unborn (at his mother's belly) and by God's welling a soul would be sent to that peice of flesh to become alive.. here i would like to quote from Koran:

Chapter 32, Verses:

[7] He Who has made everything which He has created Most Good: He began the creation of man with (nothing more than) clay,

[8] And made his progeny from a quintessence of the nature of a fluid despised:

[9] But He fashioned him in due proportion, and breathed into him something of His spirit. And He gave you (the faculties of) hearing and sight and feeling (and understanding): little thanks do ye give!

The reason i mentioned that is, we sometimes feel that we saw a person before.. or some place before.. its actually your soul.. and that person's soul have met before in that place before you became physically alive.

When you sleep.. and if made your soul very attached to something by that sensation of longing or attaching your self to something.. you start seeing it in your dreams.

In islam.. there is a complete structured science since along time for explaining dreams... for me it works most of the time..

one of the most famous dreams is the dream of the prophet joseph which became true for him after a long time.. all the prophets dreams considered as a fact coz their souls are very pure..

Chapter Joseph: (4, 4-5):
[4] Behold, Yusuf said to his father: "O my father! I did see eleven stars and the sun and the moon: I saw them prostrate themselves to me!"

[5] Said (the father): "My (dear) little son! relate not thy vision to thy brothers, lest they concoct a plot against thee: for Satan is to man an avowed enemy!
----
the Father (Jacob) said that to joseph (his son) because he knew that that dream meant.

Anyway.. i hope that was helpful :)

cheers
