But note that the frantic damage control side-steps the belief of reincarnation etc. The damage control version of the story also seems to be like swiss cheese - full of holes. There are witnesses that say that children were told to throw stones at the dog etc. Is there really no police complaint by the animal welfare group as reported by Ynet, for example?
The original story is very specific - and if it is really false, then we should expose the person who made it up - I mean pretty much everyone from Ynet, Drudge(!) to the BBC reported the event as true.
If it smells like spin control...
