Stories like this annoy me, why people have pets and then things change and they can't take them with them. Poor Jessie desperately needs a new home of she will be put to sleep.

Poor doggy!

Yeah I'm doing everything I can not to listen to my heart strings and take her. But I already rescued an abandoned cat and have DD's mental fish. Plus my own cat.

Just flush the fish down the toilet, they won't know any difference. Take the dog.

Douche fish is highly entertaining. He's too big to flush, plus he's bite me!

Looks like a nice dog but I was put off by the not so glowing description which is probably only half the story.

If the dog has a lot of issues and it will be difficult to find an owner who can commit to a pet like that, then the dog will likely end up euthanized.

No it won't.
The shelters in Dubai are full of problem dogs that will never find a home, but the ladies think that euthanizing them is cruel.

benwj, I was referring to the fact that some owners who cannot place their animals choose to have them euthanized rather than place them in one of those overcrowded shelters.

I'm an animal lover, but have mixed feelings about euthanasia. Sometimes animals just need a chance and shouldn't be euthanized, but some animals simply aren't adoptable. If there are ample facilities, money, and volunteers, then all the animals can be kept until they die of natural causes; however, I don't think most shelters have those kinds of resources.

OK, if that is their true intentions.
I would never offer anyone my pet with the threat of euthanasia.
It seems more like blackmail to me, since a shelter will most likely offer to take this poor dog which will live out its life along with 2 dozen other dogs in a dog kennel.

It's unlikely she'll get into one of the shelters, they are all already full.
