I try to scan the gulfnews (hard copy) daily and it seems to me that everyday there is a story about catching someone coming into Dxb with drugs.

I may be true but I suspect it has to do more with giving people a "warning" about bringing drugs and comitting crimes.

It is almost like they have a a script and stereo typical "criminals":

Drugs at airport = almost always some from Africa
DWI = almost always someone from India
Fraud = almost always someone from Africa or Easter Europe
Rape / sex = almost always a local-arab
Flipping the bird = well it was a priest!

But maybe it is just gulfnews...

I'd like to know how a few grams of drugs show up in airport scans? They got dogs in the back and wait until later to pounce on you?
