Anyone flown from here to Casablanca? Which airline.

And do you think it's a nice place to go at the start of January?

looking for somewhere to fly from here for about 12 days new year/begin of January. Western Europe and south-east asia are out, and must be less than 8 hours.

hahah ya you will join the cool club fez :D thats weird that emirates is cheaper, did you call a travel agent or look up online ? Unlike emirates i find that the online fares on etihad are more expensive than the fares you would get at a travel agent, its strange.

Casablanca would be last place to think of visiting as such NO THING exist there, for nowadays i would very much encourage you go to Geneva (SWISS) its ultimate weather (16-22 celcius), street parade, exhibitions, live concerts about lake and near to snow mount, in fact am thinking of visiting again myself 8)

I was refering to 2nd half of August, alot of programs there... and then i normally don't go to europe for shopping perhaps that why it seems overpriced

The cost of Western Europe is nought to do with shopping, I'm avoiding for a few reasons, one is the cost of transport, accomoodation, water, drinks and food. In most places outrageous, and the basic costs rule any shopping out!

yes it is very beautiful, I lived in UK for years and travelled a lot from there.

But now I'm based in Dubai and want to take advantage of visiting other countires within an 8 hour proximity

Scarlet, i havent been to Casa but may go there this Sept in the second week for 5 days. I think Etihad is cheaper now than most. Although when i touched my maroccan friend he mentioned that Aed2800, the fare of Etihad is expensive. But i havent found anyting cheaper than that which goes direct. There are some nice Packages also on Etihad website. and the best part is you can book yr flight online.

Try Istanbul as well. Air Arabia is the Cheapest alownwith Turkish Airlines. Its a nice place and u can enjoy it as well.

Acutally i may go to istanbul or casa. But i have made bookings for both the places.
